After heading out to Baptiste’s going away party on Friday night, I spent an easy Saturday relaxing around the apartment and doing some writing. Sarah called me for a run, so I went and broke in my FiveFingers. Then, I went back to her flat for the first time and its fabulous balcony and windows overlooking Maadi were so incredible that I headed home and got my camera.

Will loaned me his guitar – poor guy is on an expenses-paid skiing trip in the Alps this week – and Sarah loaned me his songbooks also (my roommates have had to listen to me playing “Where Did You Sleep Last Night?” for at least an hour), so I took that home as well before returning to Sarah’s with a camera.

We literally spent the remainder of the day sprawled out on her balcony in the blazing afternoon sun until Anna came over and we binged on fruit juice, tea, and cake. It was a warm, lazy day, and the perfect end to a relaxing weekend.
